Part Two: The Newest Wedding Venues In The Surrounding Milwaukee Area

We are excited to share with you more of the new venues opening up in the Milwaukee area this year. We couldn’t fit all of them into one blog post so as promised here is Part Two. These properties are in the surrounding Milwaukee area and are located in the suburbs rather than directly downtown. If you’re looking for the most up and coming barn venues, this blog is for you. Enjoy and happy wedding planning!

Located halfway between Oconomowoc and Hartford, this barn offers a unique look from it’s white wood, curved walls, and circular chandeliers, which gives the space a light and airy feel. Amenities include on-site parking, air-conditioning and heating, a patio area complete with lounge furniture and bistro lighting, indoor restrooms, a bridal suite, and an outdoor fire pit. The space can hold up to 300 guests and couples can choose from several indoor or outdoor ceremony locations on the property. They even have a sunflower field which offers a great photo op!

This new venue takes root in East Wauwatosa and is connected to the popular Camp Bar. It features a spacious outdoor patio and the indoor area boasts brick and wood walls with modern-style wrought iron lighting fixtures. The capacity is 200 people for a sit down dinner or 250 for a cocktail style affair. The outdoor patio can also seat 200 guests which allows the opportunity to host both the ceremony and reception outdoors. It even has heaters in case there’s a chill in the air (you have to be prepared for Wisconsin weather!). Camp Bar can be utilized as the cocktail hour space for a room flip or as a late night after party once the reception is over. Birch has a large bar selection with 8 wines on tap and 16 beers on tap. They also have their own shuttle available to take guests back and forth to their hotels.

While this building is over 120 years old, it’s been recently renovated into a special event space in the downtown Waukesha area. The outdoor facade of the building has a regal, castle-like look to it while the inside holds two levels of Romanesque architecture. The interior includes crown molding, chandeliers, and individual paneled ceilings with gold accents. The venue can accommodate up to 300 guests. They even have a vintage vault where the groom and groomsmen can get ready and relax, complete with pool table, dart board, poker table, and TV.

Nestled in the village of Wales and also known as “The Pond Property,”  Fete of Wales just officially opened and had their very first wedding a couple of weeks ago. The property has a very natural feel with mature oak trees, meadow prairie grasses, and an outdoor deck overlooking the pond. Assorted yard games are available for guests to enjoy during cocktail hour and into the evening. The reception space can hold up to 350 guests which includes the lower level and mezzanine. The building itself has a modern barn aesthetic on the outside with a more industrial look on the inside. There is a vaulted exposed wood ceiling with stained concrete floors and wood, metal, and brick accents. There are also some elegant touches from chandeliers and floor to ceiling windows that show off the amazing views of the 13 acre grounds.

This venue is actually a family owned organic apple orchard in Colgate which grows over 25 different varieties of apples throughout the season along with pressing their own fresh cider and making other apple products for sale. Their newly built barn is perfect for a fall themed wedding which has a sleek white look on the exterior with brown wooden doors and exposed wooden ceiling beams on the interior with a circular wooden lighting fixture in the middle. The barn opens to a granite stone terrace where you can look out on the orchard and pond. The venue works exclusively with Bartolotta catering for food and beverage needs and can accommodate up to 200 guests.

Located in Saukville, this barn is slated to open this spring and will be available to book year round.  It features a spacious ceremony and reception area, vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, grand stairway leading up to the second floor loft, private bridal suite, large covered patio, fire pit, and exterior covered deck with remarkable views of Wisconsin’s rolling hills. The barn has a 200 guest capacity but there is also the Ballroom at The Bog which is located in the clubhouse on property if barns aren’t your style. These venues are connected to The Bog, which is a championship golf course designed by Arnold Palmer.
