Christie and Richard’s wedding at River Valley Historic Venue was all about the guest experience! They wanted their guests to have a truly unique time at their wedding. To accomplish this, they had a large focus on food and drinks as well as the overall design of the venue.
To start the festivities, guests received a champagne toast upon arrival for the ceremony. During cocktail hour they had four food stations and each station had a different wine pairing. All guests received a custom wine glass to use for this tasting which was another fun component. For dessert, they had another element of surprise. Having just cake would have been nice, but they took it up a notch. They chose to have flaming bananas foster to accompany the tiramisu cake. Later in the reception, they incorporated a “bomb bar” and offered a variety drinks such as Jaeger bombs.
While food and drinks were essential to their guest experience, the couple also decided to include some sweet personal moments with a few surprises for their guests. Richard sang as Christie walked down the aisle for the ceremony. Later in the evening, they both sang during their first dance and it was such a unique experience.
Design was also really important to Christie and Richard and they really wanted to transform the space. We spent a lot of time planning this element with a main focus on the suspended floral installation. They used vibrant colors to tie everything together with the bridesmaids’ dresses, florals, and table linens.
This wedding was a perfect mix of a unique guest experience combined with personal touches and beautiful design. Wishing Christie and Richard a lifetime of love and happiness!
